Hello all

Not sure if this is the right place to post but here it goes. I'm new here ba d fairly now to the hobby. I tried to fly a balsa glow engine build plane many many years ago and crashed and burned literally and never touched them again until a year ago when my wife bought me a ares gamma 370 and I love it. I upgraded to the pro version with the brushless motor and aerobatic wing and will never go nitro again.

I moved up to an area p51 mustang that's a smaller warbirds and not a huge fan of it and want to get a corsair by far my favorite plane out there any suggestions as to what to get and where to get it from. And also anyone out there with the time to teach about programming a dx6 would be more than helpful.

Hi,
Look at the Hobbyzone Corsair with SAFE. It is the best way for a new pilot to get into warbird flying .

There are lots of videos on tips and programming the DX6:

So what is better the SAFE technology or the as3x receiver?

DreamOfFlying 10-17-2015 03:52 PM

And does not having the retracts on it hurt anything

flyinwalenda 10-17-2015 04:11 PM

For a beginner pilot SAFE helps keep the plane upright and prevents the pilot from over controlling the plane.
AS3X helps any pilot keep the plane stable.

Retracts are typically more trouble than they are worth for most pilots unless you have a perfectly smooth runway and are very good at landing. Having fixed gear will slow the plane down a bit.

Ok guys so I got the corsaor yesterday and got it together today and now playing with this dx6 trying to set it up any helpers out there got some guidelines for me

DreamOfFlying 10-20-2015 04:55 PM

Does anyone out there have this plane setup on a dx6 that could point me in the right direction

What exactly are you having trouble with ?
On page 12 of the manual is the plane's programming instructions for the DX6.
Here is a video on the sport cub but it is almost the same as the corsair.

I am upgrading to the Brushless but holding off on the Ailerons until my flight skills get better.

What, if any, differences did you notice with the Brushless? Seems like a straight forward upgrade. Did you run into any issues?
