Dual rates

I have an Easy 2 Trainer and a Futaba T6J transmitter that I can set dual rates on. My problem is where do I start with the low setting? 50% of full? Would this value be the same for Aileron Elev and Rudder??

For this plane 100% rates would not be too much as the control surfaces are small. The only exception would be the elevator .
You could try 50% on all surfaces and see how it reacts both on the ground in taxi and in the air flying.

If your transmitter allows for exponential you may be better off dialling in 30% or more and forget about dual rates. That way you still have maximum resolution and can still get full control if you need it while having a soft response on the sticks when near neutral. Just remember, when dialling in expo on Futaba or Tactic radios, use negative expo, if Spectrum use positive.

+1.... All my h-wing trainers are 100% & only 2 need a bit(25%) of Expo. A couple of my warbirds & my (2) EDF's need various D/R & Expo. Try just inputting a bit of Expo & determine for yourself what you need. You'll find it.

If you're a true beginner, Set the throws per the instructions. Learn to fly then mess with dual rates
