Equipment problem

I have a giant scale Taylorcraft with a 9ft wingspan that I built last winter. Right now it is on wheels but since I spend my weekends at my cottage I have decided to put it on floats. I bought a float kit for a giant scale cub which is made by Sig. Installation is pretty much forward but the problem is this kit was designed for a cub and the wire bracing is too narrow for Taylorcraft fuse. Cubs fuse is 6" wide Taylorcraft is 10". I bought new wire figuring I could make new bracing but the thick wire 3/16 thick is impossible to bend clean and straight. Looks like its never going to fly off water unless I can get this bracing figured out. Any thoughts?

I found this, thought you would have to go a wire size smaller than what you really want:

Or, if that's too expensive, you could try this one but, again, the wire would need to be a bit thinner:

You could try this bender

Or you could consider installing a set of aluminum gear just for the floats.

Cut the gear wire in half, then splice a piece of tube ( to fit ) between the 2 half's the length you need ( leave enough room on each side for a clamp ) .. Clamp both outside edges and the center of the new wire to the fuse and go fly . ENJOY !!! RED
