Servo wiring question

One for the flaps and one for the aileron, I also wanted to run the wires to the landing and nav. lights out to the wing tip, using the same hole I put in the ribs. There will be like 10 wire touching each other..... As you can see in the photo they will be twisted, but will this be a problem with interference, when I operate the servo's? There will be something like 45 inches of wire in both wings. Should I make 3 runs of wire, 1 for the lights, 1 for the Flaps and 1 for the ailerons,?

Spreading the wires out might not be a bad idea, especially for the ailerons. I know you're not looking at huge amounts of current but, just some info to be aware of, all wires generate a magnetic field when electricity is flowing through them.
That said, all wires also work as antennas. The magnetic field created by current flow, if strong enough, can generate a current in an adjacent wire. In a servo, this could cause twitching due to stray signals being generated. In older servos, this was not really an issue since the servos didn't take that much power to make them work. With the modern high powered digital servos we have today, this may not be the case.

Twisting doesn't help you out much (or at all really) with servo wires but if it makes you feel better, they do look neat.

What you're talking about it done every day in hundreds of models and you're trying to fix a problem that doesn't exist.

Up state NY, for now. I may take you up on that in a few years, retirement is just around the corner. Will be doing the NY summers and Florida winters. May have to start looking at properties in Jacksonville, after seeing those runways,

Andy, I just checked out your site, very nice!!! Do you ever have problems with the shooting club mistaking your planes for targets? LOL

We have family in St. Augustine that we visit a couple of times a year. If I manage to break away from family, I sure would like to visit and say hello.

Just a thought, You may want to keep the items separated in case you have to work on one . . Also you may want to consider a larger hole so it won't be so hard to get at a certain item . ENJOY !!! Red

I run my servo and light wiring, through a single tube. There are no issues with working on a specific set of wires.
