Electric motor question.
I bought this Tomcat G46 motor to put on a PT40 I'm converting to electric. It came with zero instructions and I'm new to electrics. It has a compression collet and a bolt on prop mount. But how the heck does the bolt on prop mount go onto the motor?

You will either have to reposition the shaft if the motor is set up for shaft replacement or you can cut off the protruding shaft. Personally I would go with The collet prop driver as they tend to run a bit more true then the bolt on prop drivers. |

I can't see why not. The 63mm outrunner that powers my pattern airplane uses the collet prop adapter. You may want to,post a picture of the collet. |
Could that prop adapter fit on the other end? I've seen outrunners set up that way with a shaft sticking out the back.

Jester, I think the other end has wires coming out of it. |
So apparently that shaft is held in y two allen screws and is pressed into the motor. I used it with the compression collet today and it was flawless.
