Seems like every kit on the Bruce Tharpe site is “Out of stock, and no longer manufactured”. A real pity.

I am just returning to the hobby after about 14 years away, and have also noted a lot of changes with a great disappearance of kits and even the ARF range is far smaller with a huge growth in EPF and RTF, PNF, BNF, etc.

i used to enjoy kit making years ago, but the range is down and the prices are up (though it seems everything’s price is up).

And electric seems to have made huge inroads.

And when I compare my very old Spektrum DX7 against the current generation of transmitters, I’m almost ashamed to show my face with such an antique. And of course my Hitec Optic 6 36mhz is probably a museum piece.
