help with hex bolts!
 

Hi...

I am trying to locate hex bolts... I need 6x32x1.5 or 2"... any help would be extremely appreciated... I tried OSH... there's go to 1"

Does Radio shack sell these...or how about the local electronics store...havent tried there yet... dont mind buying online if I have to.

Ace Hardware. Sometimes a local Eagle hardware or Lowes or Home Depot will have them. Best bet is a small local hardware store.

I buy all my hex bolts, blind nuts, shop towels, sandpaper, rubbing alchohol(thining epoxy), at the local Ace Hrdwre. About 1/2 the cost of the hobby shop.

There is a company in New Jersey called Micro Fasteners that has all kinds of goodies. I think there web site is www.microfasteners.com Just ask for their catalog. They are the company that has the 1 column X 2" ads in the model magazines that says "Tired of paying $1.27 for four screws?". I have ordered from them several times and never had a problem.

P.S. They have a bunch of stuff that you can't seem to find at a hardware store. things that are perfectly suited for modeling. Micro Mark is another company that has extremely small screws and things that are more suitable to model railroading than RC.

Also look at Fastener Express. They advertise here on RCU. They are in Santa Ana or San Clemente, CA ,I believe. I've used their products and service and was extremely pleased. Pricing was excellent, as well.

My local Sears Hardware store has a really good fasteners section with all kinds of different sizes in both metric and standard. Lots of odd sizes and hard-to-find stuff (except for 6-40 size for you K&B nuts). It might be worth a look there if there's one by you.
