Learning Aids

Hello guys,

Need a bit of advice really. For my dissertation at Uni I've decided to design and build an RC autopilot under the guise of a learning aid to help the beginner in our hobby. The main reason for this is because whilst trying to learn how to fly I came up against many obstacles which may have put any other person off. I fully appreciate that simulators help a great deal with orientation etc but I'm talking about actual stick time.

As a result I need to do some research into currently available products but am having difficulty finding any! The only one I've found is the FMA Co-pilot... anyone know of any others?

Thank you in advance for any feedback you can give.

Adam

When you build yours, design it for the RC market. Don't make it too complicated and keep the price down. We don't want to remove the 'manual' hands-on aspect of flight, but would like something that could bring the plane back and hold it in a pattern in case of signal loss or interference.

Let us know of your progress.
