Engine Quest ????
Hi,
Just a quick question, ive brought an old plane off ebay ;-0, with an engine for 30 dollars, the plane needs alot of tlc, the engine seems a bit gummy i started it today it ran for a few secs then cut out. The question is the way hes built the plane the fuel lines from the tank come out of the fuse side throu 3 small holes and up and over into the engine !!!!!!!!! ? Does it matter how long the fuel line is to the carb etc, i thought it should be as little as possible ? as ive got this plane as a winter rebuild :) Its a Cambrian Mustang Fun Fighter with a Thunder Tiger 25GP engine installed. Also the cockpit has had it, does it make a diff to have a open cockpit, or is it fairly easy to make a new one ? Thx in advance :) |
RE: Engine Quest ????
It's usually best to keep the fuel lines as short as possible but it doesn't sound as though these will be a problem. One thing to watch out for though is vibration wear on the lines where they exit the fuse. They can wear rather quickly. I take it you mean the "canopy" has had it? It will fly fine without it.
