Mode 1 and Mode 2?
 
Hey

What is mode 1 and mode 2 in radios and whats the difference?

the controls are switched on the Tx sticks ex. mode 2=rudder and throttle left stick, elev. and aileron right stick, mode 1=just the opposite

Some fly mode 1 and some fly mode 2. I don't know if one is any better that the other..in my opinion it's whichever way you learn.

Most modelers fly Mode 2. If you don't want to drive your instructor nuts that is what you should use.

Not quite. In Mode 1 it is only the elevator and throttle controls that switch their positions. The aileron and elevator controls do not change. And that is from the Futaba manual. They also point out that a trip to the shop will be needed to swap the throttle detent mechanism.

Mode 1 is still big in Europe. Mode 2 is a configuration that is big in the USA.
