Weather.

Is it just me that gets frustrated? I signed up to the club, had a few flights and then waited eagerly for my second round of flying the following weekend. It rained. Then it rained some more. In fact it carried on raining until we thought Noah was going to show up :( So I waited until the next weekend. Guess what. Friday was a glorious cloudless day. Saturday was grey but dry. Sunday (my flying day) was forecast to be cloudy but dry. Was it heck :( Noah was doing wheel spins and handbrake turns around our field as the heavens opened up for another day of wonderful rain.

Oh well - mustn't grumble. at least we have water to drink and G2 to practice on :)

Just fly in the rain man :) I have flown in pouring rain before and I have found my plane does good in a light mist.

This is the UK! We don't DO light mist - it's been raining SOLID :) I am definitely getting cold turkey :( Was SO looking forward to flying this weekend. I eventually pulled the old, "darling, i'll give up my flying today to take you shopping" in the hope of building up some brownie points. However, my wife realised it was raining and that i couldn't fly anyway so I lost the brownie points AND had to take her shopping :(

When I started it was late in October, almost every weekend it was one weather related problem or another. It took me until January to solo.

Photoniq,
Invest in a good R/C simulator, just for those rainy days!

hey photonq, I've got a friend that went to england for a few months and spent some time in london, when she came home I asked her if it was really as dark, damp and dreary as they say, her reply; "yeah, its a lot like Michigan". That said, I finished my training early oct, the next week(when I was going to go flying on my own) it started to rain, and between the rain and the wind I didn't get to fly till nov 5(and that was risking it with the wind)
I feel ya[:o]
P.S. who needs drinking water, we got a gazillion gallons-sorry liters, of freshwater surrounding us:D
