Spinner size for 10-6 prop

I'm looking at the Dubro spinners and trying to figure out what size I need for a 10-6 prop. I have a 2-1/4" that seems a little big. Thinking that a 2" would work fine? Thanks for the help!

Yeah any of those would be nice, I have used 2-1/2 spinners on that prop, its just how it looks and fits the plane that matters. But anywhere around 2 to 2-1/2 you're okay.

True, get a spinner that fits the plane, not the prop. You'll probably have to enlarge the holes for the prop anyway.

For a simple plastic spinner 2 or 2 1/2" will work. There's no advantage to going to the larger 2 1/2. When mounted, make sure the cutouts on the nose cone piece do not touch the prop when mounted. The Dubro ones for around $5 at the LHS are pretty cheap. Also, make sure the one you purchase includes an assortmoent of spacers so there's a good fit to the size of engine shaft you have.

Would you reccomend not going with the Dubro and using a different brand?

Depends on what you want and can afford. If you like Aluminum Tru-Turn is considered the best by many. Dave Brown has a good product as well in the size range your looking for. You can call up ether manufacturer and they will custom cut the spinner of your choose for the prop and engine that you intend to use it on.
Most of the plastic ones are good as well. But they don't hold up well to abuse from an electric starter. The choose is yours. Good luck and have fun !!! [&:]

Won't an aluminum one add much more weight than a plastic one?
