NITRATE DOPE

HI ALL
I am getting ready to cover a cub with koverall and in reading other posts I have seen instructions on applying nitrate, and or stix it before the material is laid on the frame. The directions other members give is to apply nitrate/stix it around the perimeter then apply the koverall. Is the perimeter the whole frame or is the perimeter just the edges? THANKS a bunch for an answer.

the perimiter is the outer edges.
