Buddy box question

I have an old AM transmitter (around 1994), 5 channel with a switch for buddy box control. I also have a FM transmitter with a plug in the back so it can be used as a buddy box. Will an AM-FM combo like that work for buddy-boxing? If not, how much would a true buddy box cost that can plug into my AM radio?

RE: Buddy box question

From what I remember, AM won't buddy to FM. The cord ends are different.

It won't cost a dime, if you have a buddy with a compatable Tx.

RE: Buddy box question

SunTracker,

I have an old Futaba AM radio that was given to me. I was told that it was in working condition, but I do not know for a fact that it is. I am sure the battery is no longer good. It should work fine as a buddy box. If you are interested send me a PM or an email. I will be glad to ship it to you for the cost of shipping if that will solve your problem.

Eric
