Covering Question

I am recovering an old airplane and have the tail section off right now. I was wondering, is it best to cover the tail sections seperately right now, then trim the covering off where I will glue it to the tail of the plane? Or is it OK if I glue the tail sections to the plane and cover it that way. Is ther a right way or does it matter?

Covering Question

It's not right or wrong either way. It's just a lot easyer to cover them before if possible.

Covering Question

Leave about 1/16 inch at the edges of where the glue joints will be uncovered.(in addition tot he areas where you'll be gluing) After gluing the tailplanes on, then use 3/4 inch wide strips of covering to go over the small sections of bare wood.
