PT-19 For A First Tail Dragger?

I`ve got a chance to buy a Kyosho PT-19 from a member of our club. It`s in excellent shape and comes with an OS 52 FS that just absolutely purrs. I`ve trained on an Avistar and a low wing ( Brightstar ). Although I haven`t taken off or landed with the 19, I`ve flown it and it seems to be at least as comfortable as the Avistar and maybe even a bit more " mellow " . Any opinions on the 19 as a first taildragger would be greatly appreciated.

I just posted on an old thread concerning PT-19s. My giant scale is as easy to fly as my 4*60. They are very predictable and relaxing to fly. I suppose with a big engine and more throw on the control surfaces, they would be a little more exciting. It's still fun to chug around scale-like and make low passes down the field. Yup, they would make a good first low-wing tail-dragger.

I'll second that. It's a beautiful plane. Shouldn't be an more difficult that any other taildragger.

I love the PT-19 I built from plans a few years back! Don't worry about take-off and landing, one of my favorite things about mine is the awsome mains only touch and goes I can do at about 1/2 throttle. Get one you will love it!
