also, it is possible that the fuel line split where it attatches to the brass tubing inside the tank. i have seen that happen where the sharp brass cuts through the silicone tubing through vibration. now i bevel all my brass lines. i would place money on your tank or something in it.

I haven't read it all but have been wanting to report that the fuel tank shelf on my alpha fell down an the tank droped causing abvious problems lots of hard landings on what appeared to be little glue so I am reglueing the firewall an fuel shelf,.....dan

Old fuel? Old plug? Turn the plane straight up, not running, and shake it, do you hear the clunk rattle around, or just hitting the sides of the tank? It should be free to go tap tap tap, but still be hooked on. (hitting the sides, not rolling around).
I've run with a bad glow plug, and the plane would run fine for a few, then sure as s#@t, it would quit after take off. Same can happen with old watery fuel.

The clunk is in there right.
I am waiting for some new fuel to continue.
Right now its running and not suddenly quitting,but I am having hell getting the low end adjusted right.

I am going to wait for the new fuel and If I cant get it tuned right I will have to send it in for service.

It is running very rich and I cant seem to get it leaned out.

Hmmmm.... very rich... if this is the .46, try using a larger prop, like an 11X6. You may just be under propping it.
Also go back, read the instructions for the engine/low speed NV, and set the carb as specified. ie If they say to adjust the high end first, then the low end, do it as prescribed. A call to the horizon Hobby Tech line will go a long way.

I got a problem like this in my evo and two things were wrong.
1)While crash landing couple times, the chunk in the tank moved forward and stoped in the front and top of the tank. After take off, the engine gor air instead of fuel and started to die driving to dead stick couple times.
2)The small fuel line from the needle to the carb came from factory cracked right where it connects to the needle. Bubles were being created by the carb low pressure. No bubles were present from the tank to the needle.

Replace all of the fuel lines. Just had the bubble thing and it was the line between the needle and the carb. It had a very very small hole that was letting air in. I just replace all of the fuel lines and things were dandy.

Sory I didnt update anyone on this.
I replaced all of the fuel lines, bought some fresh fuel, and had to start over adjusting the low speed needle.
I had it out of whack pretty bad trying to fly it with bad fuel.
everything is running smooth now.

This was my first problem with Evolution engines, and it was pretty simple after you guys helped me out.

I had a problem with air between the needle valve and carb
Found that the fitting on the needle valve that connects the fuel line from the tank was not tight.
