How do you seal the edges of monokote?
I am putting monokote over monokote and want to know the best way to seal the edges. Can I just rub that monokote solvent over the edges or what?

How do you seal the edges of monokote?
Be carefull of doing it that way. If you touch the applicator to the back of the monocoat the glue and
color are both gone. If you get enough on when you apply the stripes the edges should stick when you push out the extra from underneth. Even so I have seen them try to peel. That's when I use an iron. Put it on a low setting and just use the heel along the edge. Don't run it along the edge just set it down pick it up and move it over. Using just the corner of the heel should keep any bubbles from popping up. later daveo |
How do you seal the edges of monokote?
One of our club members puts monokote on monokote by spraying the area with windex, putting on the trim and letting it sit overnight. When the windex is on it lets you slide the trim into exact position. Major Decals says not to do this with their decals. When you position the trim use a credit card or like material to push out the bubbles.
