second flight

well i tried to get my second flight in at the weekend but it was almost impossible as the wind was too gusty. my instructor did manage to fly my trainer but all my plane wanted to do was keep climbing, i think it was nearly always in a stall position so i will have to adjust the elevator to correct this problem. hopefully it will be a lot better this weekend and i can get some more flying time and finally get to learn to take off and land

You'll learn to love the wind. But not when you're learning ;)

Good luck, and have fun:)

Don't adjust the elevator linkage till after you fly again on a calm day(rare in Kansas also). Trainers with flat bottom wings, always balloon in wind. See if you're not close enough on the next flight.

Yes, as if you adjust to counter the pulling up in wind, you'll be having to put down elevator, then when you need to pull up, you wont have enough. If you have it all set up as per manufactureres specs...it will be fine.....just on a calmer day;)

have fun
