Servos
I just bought a arf and installed the servos and reciever everything works fine except for one servo it makes a noise like it is trying to operate without me touching any controls. When I do operate the control in one direction it stops but if I operate the other direction it starts making noise again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

RE: Servos
Sounds like the servo might be binding up. Try disconnecting the control rod and see if it still makes the noise. If it does, the servo might be defective. If it doesn't then manually work the control rod. It should move smoothly. If it doesn't, you need to find out what is causing the hampering the control rod's movement problem and correct it. Do you have a more experienced pilot you can have take a look at your setup and help you find where it is binding?
Hope this helps, |
RE: Servos
Try this...
Move the control in the direction that will make the servo buzz. While the servo is buzzing, lightly tap the control surface with your finger. If the buzzing stops, don't worry about it. Once the engine is running, the vibrations will help it find center. |
