Adjusting control rod throw

Does it matter if you adjust throw at the servo or at the control arm? Is either more advantageous? Basicly I'm maxxing out the throws on my trainer and am curious if it matters where you adjust it.

spokman.. Use both.. Outer hole at the servo arm and inner at the
control surface.. I don't think it makes much difference, just how much
travel you "think" you want.. But you know what they say.. more is
sometimes not better:-)

On my Avistar I had it maxed at both ends.. But I started with the control
surface first since it was out in the open..

I had the ailerons maxed out,i just got thru setting them where it's more "gentle",of course i wasn't planning on doing rolls just yet.

All done. As far as I can figure there is no mechanical advantage either way. Looks good and is as smooth as silk. Didn't get very much on the ailerons though but it will have to do until the SE is done!
