It's a beaut! Great Job!

Is that a Meccoa engine? Or V-Max?

neither... its a GMS .47 I had alot of probs initially trying to tune it, which is as I have been told "nature of the beast". Its quite reliable now and is a screamer turning an 11x6 at 15000 rpm

RE: LT-40 pics

Wow, that IS a screamer. No problems taking off, then...??!!

RE: LT-40 pics

no... 10-15ft is about average take offs. I agree it is alot of motor for the LT-40, but I may use the motor in something else later on.

You built one really great looking plane! What's your method for covering the fuse with the holes clear and the rest white? I like that. It looks real clean in the pics but I can't figure out how you did it?

Here's a pic of mine. I think that all the praise the LT40 gets here on RCU is warranted. This is a wonderful trainer.

Nice plane Talon.

The windowing of the Fuse was quit simple. I am not sure of what methods others have used but this was my own. I ironed on the white covering one side at a time, used #11 blade to cut out the holes and then used my heat gun to peel the white covering back off. I then simply ironed on sheets of transparent green to cover the holes and then re-applied the white covering on top with the holes already cut out.

This was my first attempt at anything like this and to be honest I wasn't sure if I was gonna make a mess of it. The white covering peeled off very easily as long as you don't iron it on thoroughly and let it sit.
