I don't take a lot of stuff but I believe that I'm going to start taking some bug repellant. It's pretty aggravating having gnats crawl in my ears when I'm flying.

when i started out in this hobby about 2 months ago I used to go to the field with a glow starter, a screw driver, and some bits and peices. and I would be amazed at the stuff people had in there flight boxes....now i am one of those people....damn this hobby and it's power over me!

If you are going to be there all day then don't forget the pizza delivery no. A slice or two and a cold pop right around lunch really hits the spot!!

ok Yall guys got the equipment but your missing one thing

How about you Bring an Airplane and a TX[8D]
That's TWO things, and they were both mentioned before your post- they weren't forgotten!:D I sometimes bring planes that I am in the process of building to show my friends, and then let them check 'em out a week or so later to see them fly. I love kit building, and always end up swapping out the hardware that comes with the kits- I bring this stuff to the flying field to donate to some hapless soul who is in need of something quick to get back in the air.

I carry just about what everone else does but in my box i always have a first aid kit and i have a bigger one in the car too. you never know when you are going to need it. only takes a moment to get distracted and finger/s into a spinning prop

Field first aid kit = windex, tape and a clean paper towel! Ammonia might be a little hard on you though.. :D

I carry my stuff in seperate boxes to. If I had everything I bring in one I'd get a hernia lifting my box if it wasn't in a good lifting position.

A cell phone...JUST IN CASE...my wife calls, heh heh.

This reminds me of a question I have: my Nextel does crazy things to FM radios (I'm sure other people have experienced this), lots of interference when ringing or connected. Do these phones also do this to 72 Mhz aircraft radios? If so, can it be in the car or must it be turned OFF before parking at the field?

Interesting observation. Hospitals have complained that IV infusion pumps have, in certain cases, run "wide open", and blame it on cell phones nearby, on STANDBY mode!! This has happenned in patients in the ICU receiving drugs like dopamine, which require very accurate infusion rates; giving the drug "wide open" results in tremendous and sudden increase in blood pressure, which could have fatal consequences (stroke, for instance). Supposedly the newer infusion pumps are shielded to prevent such occurence. Scarry though, since cell phone are everywhere, even at the flying fields.

Slightly off the subject is the fact that my neighbor was told by his cardiologist to stay away from RC equipment, because his Internal Automatic Cardioverter Defibrillator (AICD) could go off and "ZAP" him. This has never happened to him however.
