SOLO!
Day 3 of instruction and it was raining, so we got a 2 hour delay, didnt get up till around 6:30. Did 3 landings on the box, and 2 takeoffs.
Then my instructor asked me after refueling and recharging if I wanted to "hook the mess" back up, and I said no. By this time, it was 7:30pm, a bit dark with the overcast, but took it up anyways. 2 takeoffs and 2 landings with no cord! Then it got too dark for me to really see what was going on. Instructor said that I should be on my own soon, maybe after Thursdays instruction. I can land with no problem, its those takeoffs that are giving me fits ! and yeah, I am still just a :D :D :D |

RE: SOLO!
You are on your way. Now you can go out and stretch those wings whenever you feel like it.
As for taking off...just work on advancing the throttle smoothly and steady...not too fast. Keep it down the center using rudder, and ease back on the elevator ONLY after you have gained plenty of speed. Don't climb out too fast. Nothing to it. Have fun. BE SAFE! Jim |
