What plane is this?
1 Attachment(s)
A friend bought an airplane and wants me to teach him to fly it. I assume he probably bought it on e-bay. All I have seen is this picture so far. I am guessing it to be a approx .25 size. It looks like a servo crossways just fits from side to side of the fuse. It is three channel.
Any idea what this is? |
RE: What plane is this?
It appears to be a Balsa USA Swizzle Stick 30 with the aft part of the crutch planked over. It is hard to tell without other angles. The Swizzle Stick 30 is no longer available but the basic design was incorporated into the Stick 40.

RE: What plane is this?
Thanks for the insight. I will try to get some more picture views. I kind of like to know what I am dealing with before I try to fly it.

Looks like a Goldberg Eaglet to me

RE: What plane is this?
Well I say it last night. The picture does not do it justice. It is a .40 size with an OS .40 LA on it. Ahout 55-58 inch wing span. You can tell that it was originally a stick type plane, and someone added the raised wing holder. Still not totally sure what it is.

Take a look at the [link=http://www.balsausa.com/kits/kit.htp?id=36]Stick 40[/link] and see if this is it.

RE: What plane is this?
It could be, but I am not sure. After looking at it last night, I am starting to think it is a scratch build or the wing and fuse are not from the same plane. That fuse has got to be close to the same length as the wing. The hor. stab. looks realtively small.
