I have an OS .25 FX on a Thunder Tiger Lazy P51. Good flying little plane.

I say go with the Sonic from Tower hobbies. Phoenix models seems to do a great job on their planes. I have the sonic. and it is great step from a trainer. I did have to add allot of weight to the nose to balance it. but very reliable plane. I also have the Phoenix models Giles g-202. Great p[lane as well. just not for a second plane.
hope this helps!

With your stick time I would agree with KG and get the Sonic. A lot of 25 sized planes have short wings which makes them touchy and hard to see. The Sonic looks like a decent sized plane and a good value. It has a Semi sym. wing which means you can fun with it and it will handle breezy conditions better than a flat wing trainer and be easier to land in breezy conditions.:D

I have flown my buddy's Sonic and it was a *****cat. Flew it last weekend. He had a LA BLUE .25 and it was just as easy as my Nexstar. Quicker response time, better at tricks, and a breeze to land. I think it's only 74$ at TowerHobbies. Quality was pretty good, the only thing that was so-so was the covering. Had to take a blowdryer and tighten it up a bit. But you can't go wrong with this plane. It was my first time flying a low wing and I couldn't stop flying it. I was so impressed I went ahead and ordered one with my Tiger 2 just for the hell of it. If it wrecks it's just 74$ for a new plane. That's as much as my Nexstar's wings!
