i doubt many of you if any remember me... i was here for a short while wanting to get into planes....

well i just pulled my thunder tiger mk2 out of storage and want to try and get back in...

it took a bad crash from the ceiling and broke those 2 hinges in the back holding one of the flaps on...

everything else looks good... does it matter if gas has been sitting (sealed up) for like 3 years/

yes dont use the same gas. get rid of it, and also reglue those hinges. Have fun!!

Actually, the fuel may be fine, especially if it was tightly sealed and stored in a temperature controlled environment. Pour some of it into a container and look to see if it's cloudy. If it is, then toss it (in an environmentally safe manner of course).

If those "flaps" are on the horizontal part of the tail, they're called "elevators". ;)

Find someone to check out the plane, do a trim flight, and help you learn.

hey hanx guys... i am talking about the elevators... i tried the gas in a cup and it looked fine to me... but im not really a nitro guy so im just guessing... im gunna try and start er up today and see what its like...

can i get some tips like how to prime the engine... what the throttle position should be... and any kinds of other stuff would be greatly appreciated.. again i thanxyou

:update: i brought it out front and tried to start it ... there were a few time that it started and then died in a bout 3-4 sec... im more of a truck kinda guy so im guesing its the tunning... but i may be wrong and help?
