Help with hooking up radio to servos.
I just got my second plane and it has 2 servos for the ailerons instead of 1 like my first plane. My radio controller is a 4 channel Skyport 4. My reciever is a 7 channel Futaba. I don't understand how you connect 5 servos to a 4 channel radio. How does the aileron control move both wing servos? Do you use a Y connector. Sorry to sound stupid. Thanks for the help.

RE: Help with hooking up radio to servos.
With a 4 channel radio you'll need a "Y" connector for dual aileron servos. They will have to be positioned opposite of each other so they move in opposite directions.

RE: Help with hooking up radio to servos.
As Stick Jammer has said.. Just get a "Y" connector from your LHS
and connect the one end to your reciever and the other ends to each servo... You'll most likely need two 6" or so extension also to get to each servo.. |
RE: Help with hooking up radio to servos.
Use a "Y" connector. Plug the servos into the "Y" and the leg of the "Y" into the aileron slot in the receiver. Check the movement of the servos to be sure they are going in the proper direction. If not, reverse that channel (should be channel 1 for Futaba).
