Basic Acrobatics Info
Is there a website somewhere that has diagrams of basic acrobatic manuvers?? Like what sticks to move where and when??
Thanks! |
RE: Basic Acrobatics Info

RE: Basic Acrobatics Info
Every month contributor Ed Morriman has a column in RC Report. He diagrams a menuver a month. The pages are printed such as to allow you to cut it out. His descriptions and diagrams are first rate. One of the many reasons I subscribe to RCR. They are exactly what you are looking for. Give them a try. And thanks Ed for your efforts.

Ok, thanks guys!! I'll check out both of your suggestions.
I've started out some basic acrobatics, but they arent coming out as expected.. I get about 3-4 mistakes high first so, so its not too big of a deal.. Just want to clean them up so the guys at the field aren't wondering if I am out of control or not :) |

Dave Scott of 1st US RC flight school has an excellent series of books on both primary flight and and 3 books on sport, intermediate and advanced aerobatics.
I was a student of his and he knows aerobatics on both RC and now full sized planes! www.rcflightschool.com |

The 'Dundee Model Aircraft Club' (scotland??) has an excellent website, with lots and lots of information. Click on 'Training' in the menu at;

Thanks, I'm glad you like the column and the Acro Cards.
Before I started writing for R/C Report, I put up a web site with how-tos for several maneuvers. The site hasn't been updated a lot, but it has been copied. There is also a listing of the maneuvers that have been published in R/C Report so you can find back issues. [link=http://members.cox.net/moorman1/]Moorman Aircraft Works[/link] R/C Report can be found at [link=http://www.rcreport.ws]R/C Report[/link] The name "Moorman Aircraft Works" is the one my brother and I had on the door of our shop when we built models as teen agers nearly 50 years ago. |
RE: Basic Acrobatics Info
MR. Moorman writes some of the best explanations and descriptions for manuvers I have ever seen. Showing stick postions, and very indepth detail. Plus he includes some moves that are not common things you see every day at the field. Study him monthly and you will be inpressing people in no time at all. Plus the RC Report is one of the best RC magazines in print. The best $1.99 I can spend a month.
