Trainer for 7 yr old

OK gents, one question regarding a trainer:
My 7 yr old girl has been at my heels for over a year to get her "HER" plane (des not want to use her brother's trainers :D)
I have narrowed the list to two or three planes that I think she should be able to handle... and also to the fact that i do not want "another trainer" if you know what i mean:

1. Lazy bee (electric) some people have mentioned that bees despite their low speed flying characteristics don't make good trainers.

2. Dynaflite Butterfly this one has a .15 engine and is almost a glider with wings which Ithink will help her woth orientation and slow flying at first (also the wife might try this one .. she is afraid of crashing faster planes )

3. a spad trainer UGGGH[&:] LOL i l ike spads but not for this purpose

4. bite the bullet and crush her heart and use a regular trainer.....:)

What you guys think?

edited for typos:eek:

Why not "dress" up a regular trainer??? Seem to recall seeing picutures of a plane with a "Barbie" theme here?

I would go for the butterfly. It's a great trainer and can be hand launched, powerless, for short practice flights. The smaller motor will be a good stage for her to learn the basics of glow safety. To make it interesteing, challenge her to increase her skills, such as thermal catching and pattern holding.

I'll combine the two previous suggestions and say:

How about getting a Butterfly (or similar powered glider - a .10 pulls a Goldberg Gentle Lady very nicely) and decking it out in Pink?

Maybe some flowery cutouts, or even the Barbie Logo;)

Yeah, I'd have to agree with the Buttefly (or some other powered glider) too, and dressing it up in little girl colors would be great. [8D]

Have fun with her now, she'll grow up way too soon.

I will resoundingly throw my hat in for the Butterfly as well. Try some Neon flourescent pink with white. Maybe dark blue trim. And lotsa "Cool stickers" and such to hold your daughter's interest. And to make it appear as it is "Her" plane. Enjoy it, having your family with you is a priceless guift.

Can she fly already? If you already have a trainer you really don't need another.. You could get her a second plane and let her learn on the trainer you have.
