First try at custom graphics
1 Attachment(s)
Hey,
I've been looking at my plane for the past week thinking how boring the covering scheme was. I have been coming up with idea's of what I should do. Racing strips, pin striping, lettering, different curves and lines, and all that stuff. I was just going to give up when i was surfing on the net for some pic's when I came across the classic (but tasteful) "Mud Flap Girl". Thats right, I instantly knew that this was going on my plane. So I printed her out and cut her out and then traced her on to this covering which sticks on with no heat ( I don't know what it's called ). After i got it all cut out I was wondering where I would put this babe. I hummed and hawed for a good ten minutes when I came up with the idea I would put one on each wingtip. So I cut out another mud flap girl and I proceeded to put them on the wingtip's (quite chalenging to put them in the same place as the other one (this stuff is really sticky!). But after I was done i stood back, and thougt it looked pretty sweet, (even my mom likes it, LOL). The reason there blue is because the fuse has alot of that blue in it. I'm also thinking of giving each of the ladies a name. One for each wingtip, what do you guys think? Cheers!:) P.S. I will take better pic's in the morning. |

They look good. Next time, try spraying a little Windex with Ammonia or dish detergent mixed with water on the covering before laying the graphic down. You can move them around to the right position, then squeegee the excess moisture out. Leave them to dry overnight and the glue will have set.

Well tonight i thought i thought i would take on a tougher task. Since my dad is a big fan of jaguar cars, and there logo is pretty nice i gave it a shot. It was alot harder then i thought it would be and it came out ok. I'm now debating on weather or not I should put another jaguar on the oposite side of the wing but in the same spot. I know it would look good but it tokk me long enough just to do the first one.
What do you guys think? |
