TWIST
I love this plane i think if you dont have on you should go get one it will do anything and will fly really slow and today i flew it in 20-25 mph winds which was crazy but it handled it good.

RE: TWIST
I'm thinking about getting one. Do standard servos work o.k.?
|
RE: TWIST
i had standard servos in it for a while the i got digital ones i really cant tell a difference

RE: TWIST
The biggest difference you will see with digital servos is a high drain on your battery.

ORIGINAL: WCB The biggest difference you will see with digital servos is a high drain on your battery. Use a 12.25X3.75 APC and this plane will rock.[sm=spinnyeyes.gif] |
RE: TWIST
I also have a Twist. Evo .46 as power. JR 537 servos all around. I have a small metal plate in under the fuel tank and a pair of nuts and bolts up front. Mine balances between 4 and 4.5 inches. Total added weight is a tad less than 6 ounces. Once I get used to the Twist,
bigger engine will go in and I will take out the weight. That is of course I don't crash the SOB first!!!! Dave... |
RE: TWIST
I have a twist with a FA 82 With Digital servos 14-6 prop man it will rock it is easy to fly ive not been flying long at all and it handles really well

RE: TWIST
I used to have an APC 14x4w on mine, but hated the lack of ground clearance. I switched to a k-series MAS 12x8. A little less vertical oommpff, but a smoother hover and high-alpha.

RE: TWIST
superfly, 8" pitch is a lot for this type of design. You really don't want speed with all the oversized control surfaces. Try a 12X4. I don't know what engine you are running, but the MDS .48 on my Twist gives very good performance with an APC 12X4 narrow prop.

RE: TWIST
I"m running an OS70-FSII. I had a 14x4w on it, and it was alright. I tried a 13x4w and it barely got off the ground. the 12x8 runs real good on it. I can have almost the vertical I want, and it will hover, flat spin, knife edge....
