Berg receivers
I need to buy a receiver for use in a Seagull Harrier 3D 90 and had intended to buy an FMA. But it was a bit confusing on the web site with regards to the two different 5 channel receivers and the Quantum 8. (I will be using a Futaba 7 channel computer radio) A little research and I find a lot of good buzz on the Berg receivers. I am particularly interested in the Generation III 6 channel receiver. Anyone have any input on this?

RE: Berg receivers
No personal experience, but I've heard a lot of good things about the Berg receivers too.

RE: Berg receivers
I have both and have had no trouble with either one. Berg is smaller and lighter.

RE: Berg receivers
Berg rx's are the best in the bizzness. One thing though, if your running a futaba radio that has the module in it, you could run into problems running a Berg. Peter Berg may have fixed this by now but I'd check it out in case you fall under this category.

RE: Berg receivers
I am looking for some feedback regarding Berg 5 DSP II Rx. Especially from those flying glow fuel models. There is a lot of flak in another forum regarding many failures with Berg Rx . These have been reported by e-power pilots though, and I wonder if there is any difference in experience with glow planes. Granted, e-power has its own peculiar demands in rigging the electrics. It is reported that the "older" Berg units worked fine, but in the past several months newly aquired units are failing. Mostly in maiden flights! I have just purchased a Berg 5 DSP II and right now am afraid to risk my glow plane ( large scale and tons of time & money). Can any of you give me feedback??? Many thanx.....Old Dutch
