*Prop & Spinner Problems*
 

I just bought a Super Tigre G51 and I'm using a C.B. Associates spinner and a Zinger wood prop. My question is, With the back plate on, the prop will not go all the way down to the back plate. It goes all the way down the threaded shaft but at the bottom there is a step on the prop shaft that is a little bigger in Dia. How do I get the prop to go all the way down to the back plate.

You need to get a prop reamer... It reams out props to a few different sizes for different engines. Good luck

well there are a few ways you can solve this problem, one being to use a prop reemer, to enlarge the hole, or if you dont have a reemer lying around you could use a drill bit, but uou have to be very careful when doing so. since you said that the prop would go onto the treaded part but not the smooth part make sure to only enlarge it a little, were talking 1mm here if that, and a nother thing if you are going to use a drill bit, do it by hand, never use an electric drill aor a drill press!!! The speed at witch an electric drill would turn could damage the composites in the prop.

Accually there are two steps. The prop fits onto the threaded part and onto the first step. The last step that is near the back plate only sticks out about 1/8 of an inch past the back plate so if I use a prop reamer that I do have, dont you think that the hole will be to big for the whole shaft except the 1/8 part at the bottom sticking out passed the back plate?

Just ream out the rear of the prop to clear the step of the shaft but be sure it's deep enough to let the prop seat tight against the backplate.
