Fuelproofing the firewall?
Can I fuelproof it with Elmer's wood glue? No epoxy around.. jb weld okay too?
Thanks. |
RE: Fuelproofing the firewall?
JB thinned down a bit with some alcohol, or other solvent.

RE: Fuelproofing the firewall?
Elmer's glue.. No, JB weld/epoxy should work, But really you do need to
thin it..... I just got some fuel proof spray paint and mainly sprayed the bottom of the fuse with a few coats.. I drilled a drain hole just before the bulkhead not only to get the fuel out, but so I could see any problem as fast as possible.. I got my paint from the hobby shop, But I'm sure you could get some at hardware/walmarts etc... |
RE: Fuelproofing the firewall?
Thin CA and a small brush works well also. Just be quick about it. :)

Ahh, thanks to all of you for the replies! I'll strengthen some spots with JB Weld and fuelproof the rest with CA. Thanks again! [8D]
