Vertical stabilizer to far back??
 

Well I am almost finished assembling my ARF (Not sure where that comes from as I now realize they are far from "Almost ready to fly".

I made sure I followed the Chinese to English translated instruction book and watched the instruction video that was obviously made to cover what the poorly translated instruction book doesn't tell you. Then after following the video along step by step I realized the video was made for a slightly different plane and many of the connectors etc were different or not available at all so I ended up having to change things a little.
Anyway whilst I was so busy making sure the vertical stabilizer was square to the horizontal stabilizer I didnt notice that the vertical stabilizer was back about 5 mm more than it should be and I couldnt slide it any further forward as the glue had already set. Every works okay but I am wondering if this will make a difference to the overall performance of the plane?

You didn't mention which plane it is but 5mm shouldn't make a lot of diff as long as rudder and elevator are moving alright. Might get some help on maiden flight just to trim it out, though.

on the ave.sport plane,don't see any difference 5mm will make,I would just fly it.

Ooops..The plane is called an Excell 2000 Tranier 40. Just your avaerage trainer plane.

5 MM not going to make any difference on that stab as long as its not twisted. If it was a high performance bird then I would look hard at it but a trainer bird you will not see any change.

Agree with all the above. Shouldn't make a bit of difference as long as you can still get full left and right rudder movement.

5mm either way will not make a difference on the vertical stabilizer on your trainer. Ignore it and enjoy
