RE: Pay it forward (Was freebie and fee engine)

engines are one of the things i will not BUY used.
I can't say that I blame you. After some PM discussion, it appears my engine can be rebuilt. If that's the case, I'll be extremely happy. :D

bubbagates,

If you know anybody that wants to start vacuum bagging composites, I have an Edwards EDM-12 high vacuum pump I'll donate to the cause. It's a HEAVY sucker, though, so shipping would be expensive. I'd be willing to drive 100 miles to give it to someone, though.

And if he doesn't I will definately come up with a way. I've been thinking about rebuilding a vacuum molding machine and this would work great. My last vacuum molding machine was destroyed in a move when I was in the military and I've just never gotten around to rebuilding it.

Ok I have a bunch of stuff but mainly heli and car though I would throw in.Can you guys let me know where you are with this now as I see a mass on this I just do not know where everyone is.I already pay it forward in life automatically. Many can attest to this.As I search for new posts I came across this thread. Here is 1 thing in the plane area that may help a newbie???
This is an older futaba plane remote conquest FP-t6nfk .NICE RADIO.It has a good batterie pack and charger and is in good condition. It willvnot do helis but is made for planes. This would be great I think for a newbie. It is 72mhz fm and I have no reciver for it.It has 1 chrystal in it at 72.250. It was made in late 1993 though.

systemfoxtrott,
We really do appreciate any contribution towards Pay It Forward. In the past any contributions such as yours were offered and then somebody down the road would take up the offer. Lately Bubbagates (one of the founders of this tread) and myself have become a storehouse for items offered to Pay It Forward, and then as a need for an item presents itself we will fill that need. You can hold on to your item(s) until somebody steps forward or you can ship it to me and I will hang on to it. Any items (especially airplanes) that I receive I will clean up and make sure they are in good working order before they go out.

Any donors to PIF will receive a PIF graphics package that I donate as a "thank you" for helping out the PIF. The package includes 2 ea. PIF logos, 2 ea. "Pilot: Name" graphics, and 2 ea. Engine logos. Since you are more into cars we would gladly change the pilot names to driver names if you would like that. The engine logos are a choice of your engine brand, and I have most of the major brands.

If you want to ship to me PM me and I'll get you my shipping address so you can ship it to me. Right now a radio would be greatly appreciated and can be used. I have a plane that I am currently repairing and I can put your radio in it so we can then give the plane away as a complete package. Anyway, let me know what you want to do.

No matter what we appreciate your interest in Pay It Forward.

systemfoxtrott,

If that futaba radio has a trainer port, it would help me immensely.

Ken and Bubba- I just came across an OS-46FX that I forgot I had- It has a broken remote needle bracket but I ran it MANY times like that and is runs perfectly (One could JB weld it on also-)--- Do you guys have anyone needing an engine such as this?

You are doing great things here lets bump it to page #1

RE: Pay it forward (Was freebie and fee engine)

I have a unique PIF offer which goes out to anyone who has been displaced by the hurricane. I live in Lufkin,TX and if you got out with your planes and are in my area you are welcome to come fly with us at our field. Membership is not required. Just PM me if you need a place to fly. Also there are two more clubs in my area and I am sure their members would also help out in any way.

Why is this forum not at the top of the beginners page anymore? I had to go back 3 pages to find it. If it is not on the first page then most people will not even know it exists and the thread becomes useless.

then we need to keep bumping it every time we notice

Sorry I replied to something that was suppose to be a PM so ignore this message. At least it will put this topic back at the top again.

Since this isnt a sticky anymore, why not make a PIF forum on the PIF website? Or on Wattflyer? And just put the link on this forum. Just an idea.

Spaceclam 09-15-2005 06:42 PM

RE: Pay it forward (Was freebie and fee engine)

but if we dont respond to the link we posted, it will die. if we do respond to it, it will be a useless dead thread and will be closed down.

RE: Pay it forward (Was freebie and fee engine)

I plan on asking Marc (RCadmin) again about making this thread sticky. But what would carry more weight would be PM's from the members like you all. PM him and explain why you all think that this thread should be made sticky again.

Actually, it is a web site. http://www.rc-pif.com/ It's got links right back to this thread but I haven't done much else with it at this point

Clam, I am sorry I never got the graphics sent to you and I apologize to everyone as I have been extremely busy doing other things the last few weeks. Without going into a lot of detail I have been working at nights teaching R/C flight skills at 2 local schools and doing demo's with my Funtana at other schools around the county. Our club has been working allot with the military doing R/C training so they can get a leg up on their UAV training since all of the UAV's are all in IRAQ right now.

You can see we made the local paper by going to the following link

http://www.krcs748.com/military/military.htm

OK, so now I have a request. I am working on getting a Twist done for one of our members, he is a 14 yr old that has Muscular Atrophy. This kid won this plane in a raffle we had and can fly the pants off of any trainer around. I am currently training him in IMAC basic, that's how good this kid is but he and his family do not have a lot of money so the club has previously donated a trainer for him to fly but the stuff in it is just not up to par for a Twist, it's pretty much all worn out

What I need is a 46 size 2 stroke engine, radio, servos, and receiver.

Bill,
Don't worry about the graphics for Clam. I'll take care of him. PM coming your way on the equipment needed.

You must have been reading my mind. I was cleaning out my old PM's and came across yours and was wondering and thinking about sending you a PM. I'm glad to hear she is doing well and yep LT-40s really hate to be inverted but if anyone can do that for several patterns around the field on that plane then they are almost ready to move up.

Sounds like it's time to turn the LT-40 into a taildragger for her. So she scares ya :D Could it be because she can out fly you....Just Kidding ;)

I'm glad to here that the plane is still flying and it's getting a good workout

RE: Pay it forward (Was freebie and fee engine)

Hi
My name is Jim I am new to this forum and new to R/C airplanes. Why I am writing this is that I need some help building a plane or getting one that is built already is fine too !!! A trainer or something along the lines would be great!!! Its for my kids and I to and learn to fly and just spend quality time with each other!!!

Well let me tell you why I am asking for help and a little about myself too

I was paralyzed from the chest down while on active duty Navy in 2003 I broke my neck a c6-c7 leaving me in a wheelchair. I have lost most of my fine motor skills in my hands so putting small things together is nearly impossible. I was a heavy equipment mechanic When I was in the military. I miss it very much!! I was very active and did a lot of things with my kids now cant!! This is one thing that I could do but as you all know it cost a lot of money and I don't have much to spare !!!! so any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks Jim
