servo Question
 

Ok my problem im having is one of my servo fluctuates when i give it input,I would input full up/down. one of the servos bounces ?. when in neutral position i can move the aileron and it dosent fight back, they are installed ch 1-6 what.... gives.... thx in advance... Bill

try putting the servo you're having the problem with on another channel so you can tell whether the problem is with the receiver or the servo, also put a different servo in the channel you are having problems with and see what happens.

Where do you fly at? I live about 15-20 minutes from Bradford and i can't think of any fields to fly at in that area. There's a good chance that in the next year or two that i'll have to find a new field since houses are being built across the street at my field.

The problem you describe is the potentiometer!
Clean it or send the servo in for service.

I had a similar problem on one of my planes. The servo would "bounce" when it came back to center, and it had only a light amount of force when I moved it by hand with the radio on. I found when I plugged the servo into the RX without a servo extension it worked fine. My problem was a bad servo extension. Just one other thing for you to check...

Every time I have had a servo act like that it was because of a bad connection. Do a very good check of the wiring between the servo and RX and also check the RX itself for a loose pin or board inside. How is the condition of the RX battery?? If it has failed or is very low then the servo will not be able to resist movements from you moving it by hand. [8D]

My friend once folded the extention and the ailerons would wave up and down. Once plugged in directly there was no problem.

Thanks for your reply's guy's they have been very helpful,I didn't fly the plane that following day but i did install a new servo and it was fine the servos and rx are fairly new I've been flying it off and on for the last 6mths. its happened to me before at the Field and some one mentioned it was due to the quick charge that id given it that the voltage was to high [sm=confused.gif] I taxied around with it and it came back i flew it that day and had no more further troubles, in fact i flew it on several occasion's after. the connection advice makes sense its possible that maybe i was fortunate that the bad connections heated up enough to make contact from the amp draw? I've sense installed the servo as a throttle for my H9 cub and it seems to be working just fine.i've seen what amps can due to automobile wiring so its possible. thanks again... BILL
