That's a fine plane. I've flown several as an instructor, no big problems that I can recall. What kind of engine and radio do you have?

You ask about this for your first plane, but you indicate you already have a plane.
When you say you flew your Wattage electric several times, is that 10 times or 50 times?

Consistant launch/take-off and landings? Well controlled flights?

There are a several Hobbico Superstar select RTF planes. Are you looking at electric power or glow power?

Are you learning alone or with an instructor. If you are going glow power, I hope you have an instructor.

The only glow plane that I would suggest for self training is the NextStar as it has a flight stabalization system built in to help you through the early flights. Having said that, I don't recommend anyone go self taught on glow power.

Even with small electrics, your development will go faster with fewer crashes with at least some help.

The Superstar is a super trainer, with an excellent balance between stability and sensitivity. It is also pretty tough & when you have become thoroughly proficient at hurling around the sky, it can be bashed into a real stormer of a sport plane. I keep a pair of bashed superstars in my stable --one on floats & one on wheels (tail dragger).

Welcome aboard, Welch. We'll all applaud you for obtaining instructor help. Your selection of a plane is just fine, I'm sure you'll be successful and enjoy it.

Best wishes,
Dave Olson
