Pull pull rudder setup question...
OK, I'm setting up the rudder for a Zen 50. The stock cable exit holes in the fuse are a touch farther aft than they should be, so I used a couple of pushrod exits to smooth them out. Problem is that the run of the cable isn't perfectly straight, but I can't move the exits foward, as there's a frame in my way. My question is, can you cross the cables, I.E. run right horn to left side of servo horn, and vice versa? I know full sized aircraft use this system, but are there any drawbacks/negatives about doing it in r/c? IT would make for a much straighter shot at the control surface, or would I just be better off letting it rub?
Thanks in advance, Andy |
RE: Pull pull rudder setup question...
Andy,
You can cross the cables. :D |
RE: Pull pull rudder setup question...
whatever you do, don't let it rub. you can let it cross, that shouldn't be a problem BUT... I had the Zen 50 and it didn't have that problem. Are you sure that you are putting it in correctly? Could you feasibly turn the servo around? Unfortunately I sold my plane but I remember the kit went together like LEGO and the wings were strong as oxens.
Great pattern plane for pattern... not light... but perfect for IMAC stuff. |
