Quick question about power panels.

I just bought a Hobbico Deluxe Power Panel II. Could I cut the clips off of the charger for my 12V battery and put plugs on it? So I could just plug the charger into the 12v starter port on the control panel? Anything I need to know?

Works fine, that's how mine is set up. Positive to positive, negative to negative!

That's how I do it. Works great for me! I've since added another set of female banana plugs to my box that are connected directly to the battery. That way I can plug my field charger in without having to unplug my starter (how lazy is that?). I guess you could do this and charge through those leads, but you won't hurt your field charger by charging through it. Just be sure to hook the charger into the jacks for your starter.

Hey, what is the little DC ampers gauge for? Is that for the glow ingnitor or what? I thought it was for the 12V battery. It's not readying anything though. Battery might just be dead.

That's for the glow plug. Connect it to a plug and you should get a reading

Red to red, black to black, hot water on the left, cold water on the right, s**t runs downhill. No wait, that's plumbing. Nevermind.

Never widdle towards yourself and never pee against the wind. [X(]

I'm using a cordless glow ignitor. To bad it's not for my 12V. :(

DFK...just remember not to plug you're glow plug wire into the electric starter banana clip holes...it will blow the glow plug ...(don't ask me how I know")[&o]
