Wing mods for nexstar select
 

I have a Nexstar that I have been flying for a while now. I would like to maybe increase the performance and was wondering if:

1. Has anyone seen a Nexstar with a modded wing? I would love to hear about it.

2. Has anyone seen the application of a totally different wing. I have thought of different wings to try but do not physically have the wings to try. I am thinking of a wing with little to no dihedral and possibly semi-symmetrical.

3. Or should I leave well enough alone. I am getting ready to finish up a Slowpoke and will be ready to either change the Nexstar or strip it and get another ARF of some sort.

Number 3 Due to the fact that a trainer is built to be stable in all aspects( wing, fuse, tailfeathers,) changing the wing does not make a huge difference in flight performance. I would get an arf like a CG tiger or a super sportste ror something of that nature. Besides putting another wing on looks ghetto

I have seen & flown a Nexstar with a flat (no dihedral) wing & a .61 towing it around -- awesome machine. The wing mod was fairly fiddly & the firewall had to be squared & re-inforced, plus it needed relocating stuff to keep the the CG correct, but it flies beautifully. If you are a competent builder, & a decent pilot, I would say go for it. --- Hell, go for it anyway & put it away 'till you can handle it -- it will keep you entertained for a long time.

Ok, I am not a builder so I think I will have to go with another plane. Thanks for the replies.
