2nd plane question again
 

Know ya'll tired of this but am now thinking of a big stick for 2nd plane my qusestion is should I go with 40 with os .46 ax or 60 size with a os 61 fx?

Personally I don't know why any one would choose a stik plane when there are so many other better looking choices available that look like real planes and fly just as well or better. As to your question, both sizes of stick will fly somewhat similiar but different. The larger one will give you more time to get control of things if it gets really windy and of course is easier to see due to its size but will go through more fuel. If your trainer was a kit and not an Arf then there is no reason not to consider an ARF. The better ones can't be built and covered for the price that you pay for them. If you want to stick with kits, then the Great Planes Ultra Sport 40 Plus is very nice flying plane that also looks great. If you may consider an ARf then you may want to check out the World Models arfs. The T34 looks like a military plane and is easy and fun to fly. The Super Sports looks similiar to the Ultra Sport and is more aerobatic and faster than T34. Both are easy to fly over a wide speed range. For the price, you can't beat the quality and flyability. My 2 cents. [8D]

I agree that stick are not the greatest looking planes around... But it's what they do not how they look.. Any stick is a very Versital design... They can fly fast, slow, pattern, 3D, fun fly, or sunday sport... Also since a stick doesn't have any compound curves it's easier to repair and recover.

I'd recomend that if you don't already have the bigstick to look at the Hanger 9 Ultra Sticks... They come in 40,60, and 1.20 size.. I just got the 1.20 myself(look at Ultra Stick Lite Build Review in ARF RTF forum) If your stuck on the big stick then your engine choice depends on a couple things..

Weight
Power
Cost
What you wanna do with the plane

Weight... I like to keep my planes as light as possible. Is the .61 much heavier thatn the 46?

Power... Is the power output diffrent enough to outweigh weight penalty?

Cost... Hoe Much are you willing to spend

What you wanna do with it... Do you plan on flying 3D or just a relaxing sunday type plane?

I'd recomend you look at Both the Hanger 9 Ultra Sticks and the Super tigre line of engines.

Dependingon the model you choose Super Tigre has a .51 .75 and .90 engine as well as a host of others that would be perfect in your model

I likw stiks but he has a point. Consider one of those Funtanas or something. The are a baby to fly and would make a great second plane.
