And just what are you doing with Lindsay Lohen amidst all that good stuff? :D

The only thing I'd suggest is getting some 30 minute epoxy if you didn't. You'll need it for mounting the firewall, the tail surfaces and joining the wings. ;)

I still remember getting my first box of stuff and you know what? I get just as excited with every delivery after nine years!

Very nice NJ. I would make sure you get someone to teach ya how to fly though. So you dont crash your creation. I wish i would have got that radio when i got my plane but mine came as a kit. That radio should be my next LMK how you like it

congratulations Airstrike, looks as though you have done your homework and made some wise choices. Truck day is such a neat day and no the feeling never changes, infact its infectous. My local big brown truck driver who is not a modeler or flyer always is just as excited by my packages as I. He won,t leave untill we open them and fondle the new goodies.

That 6 EX is my next i am pretty sure. I am still trying to find someone to teach me to fly. The wait is horrible and i almost went out and flew today

Have fun putting that thing together! I've got a Sig Something Extra coming in Friday. I too will be running to the LHS (where I ordered it). And yes of course, opening box and inspecting that thing right away!

That will be a blue trainer!!! I hope you have some other color monokote! Remember, orientation is critical for a new flyer so make sure that you have contrasting color schemes so that you can know whether to pull up or down! Blue top Yellow bottom would be a good combination... or Blue top with White and blue stripes on bottom.

the AMA directory lists 3 clubs in your area so if you haven't found an instructor yet you should be able to find one at one of those clubs. If you do already have one then carefully assemble your new plane and go enjoy it.

After over 40 years of this I'm still just as excited for you as you are! :D

Now don't let that excitement turn into rushing through things, take your time!

Buy I know how you just want to run through everything barefoot, but as soon as you take stuff out of the box, it will never go back the same way, and things get lost VERY quickly! So here's a suggestion: (Note: this advice goes for the ENTIRE building process, not just the first few days)

Lay the box top along side the box. Take things out of the box, look them over (Feel, smell, taste or whatever else blows you skirt up) and return them to the top of the box.

Get in the habit of moving things from one box to the other any time you need to sort through things - That way, anytime you need a part, it will always be in one of two places - Either the box top or the box bottom.

Now go have some fun! :D

DB...wouldn't you like to know. I'll tell ya I can think of several things I could do with Lindsay. But since this a family oriented forum ;)...

NJ... I am the exact same way and I'm 44yrs old. I'm waiting on an engine for Ralph Cunningham for my CG Sukhoi (first gasser) I have tracked this package from day one and it has twice been "re-scheduled" by UPS :(.

I also have a Krangke (Super Craft) Cap 232 1.20 with a roto35 combo kit from rcshowcase on the way (just ordered it a few minutes ago) and I have already checked to be sure the order went through without a hitch. [X(]

I've been drooling so much that I have had to turn my keyboard upside down to drain it out. :D

NJ do you have a field near you to fly? I live near Atlantic City and have a grand field with several great instructors. If you are near, and need help, just yell.

NJ said in another thread that he is from northern NJ. It was recommended that he check clubs on AMA site. We'll see what he says later. I have no idea how NJ is laid out.
