please help identify plane.

1 Attachment(s)
Hi there all. I have been building planes for many years now, but have not yet flown(r/c). Today while cleaning off my planes that were put away for a while, I stumbled across this one. I do not remember where it came from, what it is, or what sized motor would be at home in it. It has a flat bottomed foam wing, with solid balsa fuselage and tail surfaces. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.
Specs are: wingspan 45"
fuse length 32"
horizontal stab width 16"
vertical stab height 6"

Looks a bit like a Precedent Hi-Boy. These have a foam wing and a built up balse fuse.

Just did a search on the Hi-boy on this site, and it sounds like they have ailerons. This airplane has just rudder, elevator, and throttle. The wing is a solid one piece foam wing, with no joiners. Sorry I forgot this info in my first post. Thanks.

It would take a .15 to .25. Sig's foam kits like to be slightly over powered.

Thanks for the help. I plan on re learning this spring again, and now have a motor hunt to go on. I thought that my Webra 40 speed would be just about right, but I guess not. LOL. Once again Thanks.

Take the 25 for an engine. The Sig line, in general likes a more powerful engine. BTW, your plane is only slightly smaller than the Kadet Jr(48 Span by 36 long), which has the same engine requirement, to which I was told is GROSSLY UNDERPOWERED with a 15. This was several years back, when I bought the kit, but it probably still applies. I'd look at an OS 25LA for the plane and go from there;)

Give it to some kid who needs a plane.

And I wish I had seen the question earlier, I wanted to have the correct ansewer first:D

That was the very first aiplane I ever built by my self back in 77. Sprayed it with Formula U and built it with Ambroid. Dad wouldn't let me use Hot Stuff.

Who can name the other 3 planes in that series? There was another trike and 2 tail draggers.

Looks Like a victor plane to me or maybe they called it a Robin.
I had a 102 inch like that.
