Introducing myself.....

Didn't really find a forum for this, but My name is Brandon. I am 19 years old and attend college at Central Missouri State University. I have recently been accepted into UMKC Dental School which I am very excited about! I have been toying around with R/C planes for about 4 years and here are the pictures of my planes!

This is my House of Balsa FW-190, I hold combat battles with my friends and its extremely fun. Hope to try AMA later this year. The plane currently has the engine out because its been suffering mechanical problems.

Carl Goldberg Eagle 2, yep, everyone has seen it but my plane is complete and has still never made a flight. I just like to look at her sit on the bench I suppose!

Heres an overview of my Vailly Aviation FW-190. Its still in the working stage and has ALONG ways to go. I LOVE this plane though.

Heres a view of the rudder/elevator of the FW-190

This was my VERY FIRST PLANE and met a sad ending while performing an avalanche manuever and a gust of wind sent her off course. The end result was she hit a tree :-(

As a result of the tree incident, I ordered this plane which is what I fly all the time now. Its not very aerobatic to say the least, but it gets my fix until the FW-190 is completed.

Here is an overview of a bunch of crap (planes included) sitting on my "workbench" in the basement.

Welcome to RCU GodOhThunder. You'll love it here.

I don't even want to know where you got your handle since I live in the lightning capital of the U.S.:)

I'm thinking of doing a warbird kit, but just love flying way too much. I'll probably do more kits if I move up north. The flying weather's just too good around here to be cooped up in the house.

Nice to see someone so young involved with RC. Keep it up.

I thought Lakeland (Polk County) was the lightening capital of the US.

I uploaded the pics to photobucket (its free) and then pasted the [IMG][IMG/] addresses in the field to type. GodOfThunder is a song by KISS. I love the song, but Aerosmith, is my favorite band. Lookin forward to hangin out here more often. And I typically fly at my Grandparents acreage and currently have no AMA membership.

I see you have a thunder tiger trainer. I currently have one of those sitting in my hanger that belongs to a friend who bought it five years ago and never flew it. He had me get it back to flying condition (from hanger rash) and I flew it once and now it's sitting there. I've had it for almost six months. Does that make it mine now? :)

I think it should be yours! I never in my life thought a Vailly Fw-190 would be this hard though.

is the first a ducted fan, it would be a tight one if it was

GodOfThunder 02-09-2005 06:16 PM

RE: Introducing myself.....

well...that would be cool, but no, I use it for combat with friends of mine and have been having engine problems, thats why there is no engine. A ducted fan FW-190, thats one hell of an idea!

SKG - GodOfThunder hasn't even logged on since Feb. Doubt you will get a response. Sorry. Perhaps he is out there under a new name though and will read your request. BTW -I couldn't see the pics either.
