It Does work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
some of you know about the trouble I had getting my Thunder Tiger GP engine to start. Well to day was my lucky day. I got it to start. It ran great, and i have to admit its got some power to it ill tell ya that!!!!
well manual wants like a whole tank threw it before ur suposed to fly it. I gues I will just have to strap down the plane and watch it burn fuel. [X(]:D Its a perfect day at my area. U only need a sweater over a small under shirt out there, although when your standing behind the prop wash its some thing else!! He He he he. well gota go run more fuel threw it, breakin it in I suppose. I just wanted to say thank you to all who helped me out and gave advise. thanks, sarges_heroes2003 out.... |

RE: It Does work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good one
Did you find a problem or did it just give up being cussed and decide to run? Terry |
RE: It Does work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
red back: a little of both. I noticed that now the "hard spot" is not really a spot any more. its a lot mor worn in. what I did do is adjust the air bleed screw (its on the carb) and I backed the nedle valve out WAY beyond the manuall suggested 2 1/2 turns. it was about 3 1/4 turns from fully closed when it began to sputter. then I remembered what some one said that that air bleed screw some times makes it hard to start. So I opened that about 1 turn and a click and it started long enough for me to get over the exhiliration of finaly succeding, then It died. So I tried again and it ran until I turned it off.
glow plug warmer is back on the charger so I can break it in some more. thanks for the help every one!!! I much appreciate the help in getting the engine to start. Id advise newbies to try to get there engines to start reliably before they go to the field with day dreams of "ace pilot" dancing in there heads (and theres nothing wrong wit dreamin!!!) |
RE: It Does work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
P.S. did any one notice the new Custom Title that some one gave me?[&:] I know I didn't go and put that in there, but it fits so it stays.:D

RE: It Does work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do you mean the "so broke"? I think the only one that could do that is an administrator or moderator/staff person of RCU.
If that isn't what you meant, what is? |

RE: It Does work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yep, hate it when nice when I'm at work and bad on the weekend. I've learned to just look out the window and deal with what is there. If the weather is bad, good day to build. Always have something on the bench. Either something new or repairing the latest OOPs. Besides, every now and then ya just gotta cut the grass or paint the house or something.
|
RE: It Does work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ohh, id like to see some one try to cut my grass!! He he, theres quite a mud hole if front of the house running all the way to the street. LOL, must be teh rain. lots and lots of rain.
