R/C Flight Sims
Anyone have an opinion on who has the best flight sim between RealFlight G2 & MRC Reflex?
|
RE: R/C Flight Sims
Aerofly Professional Deluxe!

RE: R/C Flight Sims
There are a lot of people that like realflite G2, But I think the best sim for the money is aerofly pro deluxe

RE: R/C Flight Sims
I liked Real flight alot but, it is the only sim i have played. It was really nice and you can adjust the winds up to 100! It helps alot but i havent played the others, It was the nextstar addition so no other planes

RE: R/C Flight Sims
I have and use G2. I have also used FMS, and AeroFly.
My vote goes for the G2. Actually, unless you are on a really tight budget, get the G3. The G3 is much better than G2. Now how can I convince the wife I need G3  Nope, that arguement won't work - I used that one for the latest engine. :D |
RE: R/C Flight Sims
I had read a review here on RCU that said G3 had problems (buggy). Have they improved this software since then?

RE: R/C Flight Sims
aerofly pro deluxe beats G3 hands down. a lot of people that got G3 have sold it and got aerofly pro deluxe. look in the simulator forum and look at some of the pictures and video's there

RE: R/C Flight Sims
If you are interested in a serious sim for honing your 3D skills AFPD is the way to go. G3 is a nice sim but its really no comparison to Aero Fly Pro Deluxe. Plus is has trainers, jets, foamies all sorts of scale planes old and new. IT also has 3D and scale helis that fly like the real thing. I have a lot of fun with the GEE BEE, its a booger to try to land...
There are tons of planes and scenery you can download as well. Also, if you dont like the way the plane flies you can play with the planes physical characteristics and it will respond just as a real plane would to the changes. The only thing I have read is that people say that AFPDs planes are harder to snap than a real plane. I played with the P51 and now it is just a snappy and tricky to land as the real plane. ALso, you can use your own transmitter with AFPD and setup planes exactly like you would your real ones mixes and all.. Just remove the TX module and go for it. Im speaking from experience when I say that if you want to improve you training, areobatic and 3D skills,, and are willing to put the time in ont he sim AFPD will make you a much MUCH improved pilot. ORIGINAL: newbtoRC If FMS Is extremely slow on my comp will AFP be too? I think i will wait till i get a new comp to get it Reflex has a Demo you can download to see if it works on your computer. If you can run this you should be able to run the others. http://www.reflex-sim.dyndns.org/ref....php?faqPath=5 |
RE: R/C Flight Sims
I agree with Skynard. Real Flight and Aerofly both use a heck of a lot more memory and require much better video capability than FMS. Get the new PC first.

RE: R/C Flight Sims
I noticed one thing about the nexstar edition that wasnt realistic. We could take off into a loop and land. It was cool but not realistic. I also enjoyed flying in 100 mile winds

RE: R/C Flight Sims
I like finding something sorta similar to what I actually have and re-speccing it to my plane's configuration. I can model a plane I haven't even built yet and tweak it until it's just right long before commiting any wood or time. I like my Real Flite a lot.
