Low wing planes that Tower DOESN'T sell...
What's out there that's similar to the Sig Fourstar planes?

BTE Venture 60.
Goldberg Tiger (but they sell that.) Ace 4-60 (out of production) Good luck, Dave Olson |

I prefer the Great planes Super Sportster 60 over any of the *s. I like it a lot better. Smooth flyer and good looking. I put retracts in mine. Very nice bird.

My personal favorite (though tower sells it) is the GP Ultra Sport + Those things fly like a dream...

Another option if you don't mind arfs is a World Models T34. Flys better than a 4* and looks way better! [8D]

the skylark mark56 is nice my poor plane had many crashes and finally got retired not becasue I didn;t want to fix it but that it was gaining to much weight. Boy did I learn a lot from that plane. Wing incidence lateral balance and how to shoot a hot landing at 1/2 throttle as the plane grew heavier and heavier. Actually it was a very good plane to start with but I flew it very hard. I even learned that when you pull aloop your exit altitude does not equal necessarily equal you entrance altitude, whap!! I believe it was a goldberg

Tower for low wing?!?!? I would start to list the ones I've had from Tower but there are way too many... Bro Tower has a pretty damn good selection of planes... You want SIG then get the 3D Mayhem. Did you have a bad experience with them or what? I advise Tower for planes because they always discontinue sh%t products and have good prices.

A lot of things are CLOSE to what I'm after.
I like the shape of the 4*, but I don't like the way the canopy sticks up and I saw one that someone did where they arched the fuse forward of the cockpit rather than leave it flat. I like that a lot. The fantasy appears to have that, but the cockpit is too far forward for my tastes. Whatever I end up with, sometime down the road, I'd like to be able to stick retracts in it, a cowl and maybe flaps, just to have all the things a real plane has... Picky little bugger, ain't I? :D |

Re: Rambler 45 link. Its a World Models ARF. They make very good quality ARFs at reasonable prices. Follow the link below. Then click on the small picture to see a bigger picture. Some have replaced the open canopy with a closed in type for a different look. Check out the pic of one with a closed in canopy. I better add that this isn't my plane, I just found the picture of it on the web. http://www.theworldmodels.com/para/p...?airplaneid=13 [8D]

Tower sells it, but I hear the Great Planes Rapture has flight characteristics very close to the 4*. I don't have any personal experience with the Rapture, but it is on my list to build and fly.
