Been sidetracked
My plane hasn't seen the sky in about a month and half now. I have been working on tests, presentations (graduating college in a month), my wedding, AHHH. And...I have recently rekindled a interest in Microsoft FlightSim. I used to play it as a kid. I went out and bought the newest one for $21 bucks...about the cost of a single servo....and have been having hours and hours and hours of fun with it....to the detriment of my R/C flying. Plus, I have been flying about 1.5 hours a week full-scale.
So many airplanes.....so little time! What's a guy to do? |
RE: Been sidetracked
Given the choice, I'd be flying full scale too. Lost medical took care of that. You'll be back though in your own time. Just before I lost medical I was getting 20+ hrs a week in a mixture of single and multi-engine a/c. Miss it a lot, been out of it long enough that it is mostly a great memory now. Enjoy it. :)

and hour and a half a week of full scale? That gets expensive doesn't it?
Flight simulator is cool. My flight instructor flys fullscale and has made his quit realistic |

RE: Been sidetracked
Or if you are getting paid to fly. It's called a job, but can still be fun.

RE: Been sidetracked
All it takes is time, money and motivation. It can be done. Good luck on it. It is expensive as a hobby but a great career.
